The Browning Family

Meet the Brownings! This was such a fun and unique session for me. I got to photograph my first bird and the most people that I think I’ve had in a single session! We had a total of 8 humans, 3 dogs and 1 bird all down in Seward to photograph. The Brownings have a beautiful sailboat down in Seward that we wanted to do photos with and potentially take the boat out on a quick sail! I haven’t been sailing since I was in high school so I was pretty excited to get to be on a sailboat again. The weather was beautiful that day, but a bit too windy to comfortably take the boat out so my sailing adventure will have to wait!

We were really thankful that the smoke in Anchorage wasn’t as bad in Seward. There were definitely spots where we had trouble seeing the mountains, but all in all, it turned out really well. This was such a fun group to photograph and I’m thankful they decided to let me tag along on their day trip down to Seward!

It was a fun day getting to drive down to Seward and then have the opportunity to stop at a few places on our way back to Anchorage. We stopped at a little bog right outside of Seward and got some awesome shots of little Brody, the Yorkie, and of their youngest two kiddos. Then we stopped again in Turnagain Pass and walked to this awesome bridge and got some shots of all three pups, Brody, Breck the Border Collie, and Onyx the Black Lab and Golden Retriever mix. Breck and Onyx also took that opportunity to take a little dip into the river that was below the bridge! If there’s anything that I’ve learned this past summer about dogs is that if there is a body of water present, they will go in it!

Thank you so much to the whole Browning family for bringing me to see your amazing sailboat and for being so flexible with shooting locations! We got some awesome shots from all the different locations we went and I’m thankful for a mostly smokeless hot summer day!

are you ready to make your pup’s memories last a lifetime?
