Rodeo and Outlaw
What a fun pair these two are! I met Emily, Rodeo and Outlaw’s human, through flyball tournaments that I have attended. I had met Rodeo before but this shoot was the first time that I met sweet little Outlaw! Isn’t she a cutie?? Rodeo is a rescue from animal control and Emily’s best guess is that he is an Australian Cattle Dog mix. Outlaw is a sport mix with mostly Border Collie, Whippet and Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Both pups are flyball dogs with Outlaw still in training!
Emily told me a bit of Rodeo’s story and I just love how she ended up adopting him. She first saw Rodeo on the Anchorage Animal Control website and says she “got sucked in by his blue eyes and cute speckles”. She went to animal control to meet him but he was already being adopted. Emily figured that it wasn’t meant to be but four days later, Rodeo showed back up at animal control so she raced over to make sure she didn’t miss out again! He had been returned because he had too much energy but energy was just what Emily was looking for in a flyball dog so she brought him home!
Thank you Emily for spending the afternoon with me getting such fun photos of your flyball pups! It was so fun to see how enamored both Rode and Outlaw are with you. You can tell how much you’ve worked with them and how much love and energy you’ve poured into their lives! I can’t wait to see little Outlaw after her full training to be a flyball dog!
