Izzy
Gorgeous Izzy is a Rottweiler and Golden Retriever mix that absolutely lives up to her full name, Isla Bonita which means beautiful island. She is an absolutely stunning pup that loves to swim! Megan, Travis, Izzy and I all met out at Eklutna Lake to take advantage of the sunshine. I don’t know who makes those driftwood teepees but they make the best props! Izzy was so patient with me as I placed her all around the teepees.
The only bummer about Eklutna Lake in the summer is the mosquitos. We ventured back on a little trail away from the lake and in the shade of the trees to take some photos with less direct sunlight and the mosquitos were miserable! We endured to get a few shots and then headed back to the lake to let Izzy do her thing!
She absolutely loved swimming and I’m sure it felt so good to cool off in the glacier fed lake. These are my favorite images from our session together. You can tell how much Izzy loves being in the water and I loved being able to capture it! Thanks Travis and Megan for spending the morning with me and for being such good models!
